+ the Beautiful Disaster series
This series was first presented at the 2008 UofT Visual Studies Thesis show, aptly titled Anomaly. This body of work is comprised of six digitally manipulated photographs meant to represent my extended version of Kubler Ross' five stages of melancholia. The Beautiful Disaster series was eventually nominated by the UofT Art faculty to be entered in the 2008 BMO 1st Art! Student Invitational Art Competition.
+ "Etched with marks, but I can deal."
The following projects were also displayed alongside my Beautiful Disaster series in Anomaly. My thesis projects also included a series of seven pen and ink illustrations on discarded book covers and a mixed media triptych on discarded drawers.
+ Conduit: a photo essay
Originally completed for a project in my Ingrated Photo-based Explorations class, this photo essay is a compilation of some of my more personal journal entries. The photographs were shot using my Canon A-1 and Kodak T-Max 400 B+W film. The end result rendered some unexpected multiple exposures. The negatives were digitally scanned and the layout was made using InDesign CS3. This was eventually published using Blurb.com as part of a class book.
+ the Trauma series
This series was featured in Index G Gallery's first ever Diction series, curated by Mahan Javadi. The participating artists were given a random page off a dictionary and we were asked to take any chosen aspect of the page and turn it into video art or a series of photographs. |
